More Celebrity News ►► http://bit.ly/SubClevverNews We’re not sure if you’ve noticed, but Demi Lovato has been less vocal lately about some controversial topics, but now, she’s done biting her tongue. Just yesterday, Time magazine announced that the Person of the Year is the “Silence Breakers.” To fill you in, the “Silence Breakers” are the brave men and women who boldly came forward despite their fears and shared their own personal experiences with sexual harassment and abuse. The women featured on the cover include Ashley Judd and Taylor Swift, among a few other faces of victims who’ve taken a stand against their abusers. However, Even though Time got it SO right with the cover, they caused quite a stir when they decided to give the runner-up title to none other than President Donald Trump, who just so happens to have been accused of sexual harassment on more than one occasion. In fact, 16 different women came forward with accusations against him, making the whole thing appear to be very hypocritical. Well… once D-Lo got wind of this information, she took to Twitter to point out the hypocrisy of Time and their ‘Person of the Year’ issue. She wrote, QUOTE, “Time mag highlights brave women coming forward against sexual assault on the cover but names a man with sexual assault allegations against him runner up to person of the year.. Really ‪@TIME‬‬?” Demi went on to say that even though she’s been less vocal about controversial issues lately, she feels compelled to speak up on behalf of the women on the cover, who she feels were disrespected by the choice to make Trump the runner-up. Unfortunately, though, Time magazine chooses their ‘Person of the Year’ and the runner up not based on who has made the most positive change this year, but by who has made the most impact in the news. So basically, even a terrible person could take the title, but Demi thinks Time needs to change their criteria, and honestly, we couldn’t agree more. Demi added, QUOTE, “To be named POTY by ‪@TIME‬‬ it should be for doing something positive or brave LIKE the women on the cover. It’s annoying that it’s just about impact on the news.” What do you guys think of Time magazine’s decision to name Donald Trump as “runner up” to the “Silence Breakers?” And also, how do you feel about Demi’s Twitter rant?
